Meet Zoe and Àngel:
The Catalan Corner was born from a shared love — for each other, and for the culture of Catalunya. Founded by Zoe Scott, an American, and Àngel Garcia Caballero, a native of Catalunya, the idea took root after the two met in Madrid and made their home in Barcelona.
Zoe quickly fell in love with the region’s rich traditions, its distinct language, and the everyday beauty of Catalan life — a culture she hadn’t even known existed. Together, she and Àngel saw an opportunity to celebrate and share this heritage with others, especially at a time when fewer people speak Catalan each year.
At The Catalan Corner, we work with local artisans across the region to create beautiful, functional pieces that honor Catalan craft. From aceiteras to pitchers and cups, each item tells a story — of place, of tradition, and of the people who made it.

Meet Àngel
Àngel Garcia grew up on the outskirts of Barcelona in Cerdanyola & has always been intergrated into Catalan culture. You can catch him watching the Barça FC games, at the gym & hanging out with friends. He met Zoe shortly after returning to Spain from his 6 month trip abroad in Southeast Asia!

Zoe Dawn Scott comes from Cincinnati Ohio & never knew Catalunya existed until she met Àngel shortly after she moved to Spain in 2023. From Registered Nurse to Marketer & SMM, she spends a lot of her time learning Spanish, Catalan & exploring Catalunya.

Àngel and Zoe currently live in Barcelona & love being out and about! You can find them on weekends at calçotadas, exploring small towns, meeting new people at events & enjoying meals with Àngel's family.
